Welcome to my website, I'm Kathryn Roberts, and I'm glad you found my online home.
Of all the questions I am asked by the hundreds of artists I meet each year, the most common two are, "How do I get an agent?" and "Will you represent me?"
My short answers are, "You don't." and "No."
Here's why. Unless you are an illustrator, or your work is ideally suited for publishing, or your work regularly sells for more than £10,000 you don't need, and can't afford to support an agent.
It's then my turn to ask a question, which is:
"Are you one of the many artists frustrated by your place in the art world?"
If the answer is "YES", then I can help and have solutions to your problem.
What I can offer you in your quest for success, is coaching, advice and courses for developing your creative business, marketing and "selling" your artwork to the public and/or galleries, and finding balance between your personal and financial aspirations.
Becoming successful as a professional artist is fairly straight forward, however simple should not be confused with easy. Whether you're just starting out, changing direction or looking for a way to move your existing practice to a new level, Your Art Image can help.
Preparation
You've spent hours of preparation developing your artistic talent and style. Your Art Image provides coaching and web based courses for developing the business side of your art or creative business.
Timing
Timing is more than just being in the right place at the right time. It's knowing where the right place is, knowing what to bring and when to bring it.
Timing is also about finding the right balance between your personal and financial aspirations, something I believe is critically important when pursuing your passion.
Promotion & Marketing
Effective promotion and marketing only starts with the first impression of your work. You need to learn to identify your market, raise your profile, develop relationships and effectively promote your artwork both visually and verbally.
